Gordon Avenue children’s librarian Glynis Welte delivering a talk

Held on the first Wednesday of the month, from 10–11 am. Recommended for children 24 months to 4 years old and their grownups. Gordon Avenue children’s librarian delivers dynamic arts-related story times incorporating movement. Then the museum staff will invite the youngest art patrons to explore and create. Stories will help enrich the art experience of a particular exhibition or piece.

Early Visions

Each semester, The Fralin offers the ten-week Early Visions program in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Central Virginia. UVA students and members of the Boys and Girls Club are paired in mentoring relationships to build self-esteem, explore museum exhibitions, and collaborate on creative projects that relate the children's discoveries to their own lives. Mentors and mentees learn about and from one another while making art together!
