K-12 school tours

Teachers are invited to schedule interactive docent-led tours of current exhibitions for K–12 students. Designed to increase visual literacy on an age-appropriate level, these tours can be customized to address classroom topics or specific interests.

Adult group tour

Get a fresh perspective! University student organizations and community groups are encouraged to schedule group tours of the museum exhibitions and collection. Our docents are happy to tailor their tour to the interests of your group.

The Fralin teaching galleries provide unique object-based study and research opportunities for UVA faculty across a wide-variety of disciplines, and the museum encourages University faculty to utilize our exhibitions and collection to enhance curricular goals in all subject areas.

Clinician's Eye

Saturday Special Tour

These informal presentations on aspects of the museum's collections and special exhibitions are usually held on the last Saturday of each month from 2–3 pm in the museum, unless otherwise noted.

Monday: Closed
Tuesday: 10 am – 5 pm
Wednesday: 10 am – 5 pm
Thursday: 10 am – 5 pm 
Friday: 10 am – 8 pm
Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm 
Sunday: 12 pm – 5 pm

The museum is closed on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
