K-12 school tours

Teachers are invited to schedule interactive docent-led tours of current exhibitions for K–12 students. Designed to increase visual literacy on an age-appropriate level, these tours can be customized to address classroom topics or specific interests.

Join us for the annual Teachers’ pARTy! Enjoy the museum’s new fall exhibitions and a light supper catered by Hotcakes, with opportunities for docent tours and gallery talks by curators.

Teacher Professional Development

The Fralin offers teacher professional development workshops on a range of topics from Learning Through Observation and Cross-Curricular Connections to workshops on ekphrastic poetry and prose. Participants earn 3.5 points per session. Contact our office for more information: 434.243.2050.

Museum hours

Monday: Closed
Tuesday: 10 am – 5 pm
Wednesday: 10 am – 5 pm
Thursday: 10 am – 5 pm 
Friday: 10 am – 8 pm
Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm 
Sunday: 12 pm – 5 pm

The museum is closed on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
