Fun for the Young

Start with a book, and then go look! Children enjoy a story read by arts educator Aimee Hunt and explore an artwork through observation, movement, play, and simple hands-on projects.

Wednesdays from 10–11 am: 2–4 year olds and their grownups

CANCELLED–March 18  |  Color, Shape, Repeat!

We'll read books about patterns in nature, explore The Inside World exhibition, and draw patterns together.

CANCELLED—April 15  |  Mud Play Minus the Mess!

We'll read books about clay, go on an expedition to discover pots in the galleries, and make patterns in pinch pots.

CANCELLED—May 20  |  Stripes Everywhere!

We'll read books about lines and stripes, go on gallery hunt for stripes, and use colored paper to make very stripey art!




Temporary Museum Closure

In addition to COVID-19 restrictions, the museum will remain closed for pre-planned building maintenance including a new roof and HVAC system. We will reopen in the spring semester.
